The Setup Is Part of the Play.

The fun doesn’t start once the water or balls begin moving. It starts with deciding where the channels should go.

Different channel lengths and stacking tower heights give children the freedom to build their own pathways, change the slope, connect pieces in different ways, and see what happens.

Send a wooden ball down. Pour in some water. Move a tower. Raise one end. Add another channel. Then take it apart and build something completely different.

There’s no single setup to recreate and no finished result to reach.

Build. Test. Change. Repeat.

What happens if the channel is higher? What if the path is longer? Will the ball make it all the way through? Where will the water go?

Children can discover the answers through the play itself—building, observing, adjusting, and trying again.

And because the pieces can be rearranged, the experience doesn’t have to be the same the next time they come back to it.

The Full Set combines 10 channels in three lengths, 9 stacking towers in three heights, and 50 wooden balls, giving children plenty of pieces to build, raise, connect, test, and rebuild.

A great choice when you want the channels and the supports together in one complete set.

Already have logs, tires, blocks, crates, or other sturdy loose parts around your play space? Let them become part of the setup.

Children can use those materials to support and position the channels, experimenting with different heights, slopes, and pathways.

Use the channels outdoors with water and balls or indoors to create ramps for cars and other play.

Originally created for pre-primary classrooms and home-based daycares, the Mini Set gives you a more compact way to bring channel play into your space.

It includes 4 channels in three lengths and 50 wooden balls and can be used indoors or outdoors.

Smaller and easier to move around, it’s a convenient set for taking the play wherever it happens—and you can enlist a few little helpers to move the channels along.

A great choice when play space or storage is limited.

Water Channels Only and the Mini Set can ship in boxes, making them a more economical option if freight cost is a consideration. Boxed shipping is typically around $100–$200, depending on your location.

The Full Set must ship on a pallet because the stacking towers are too large to ship in boxes. Pallet shipping quotes typically start around $600 and vary depending on your location.

Those conversations helped shape our Child Care collection: simple wooden pieces that children can use in many different ways, made for the realities of busy Canadian child care spaces.

The water channels are made from pine, while the stacking towers are made from spruce or hemlock, depending on availability.

The wood is finished with oil, helping protect it while allowing the natural grain, colour, and character of the wood to remain visible.

Because we use real wood, variations in grain, knots, colour, and tone are a natural part of each set.

No Two Pieces of Wood Are the Same

Real wood brings natural variation into the play space. Grain, colour, knots, weight, texture, and density vary from one piece—and one species of wood—to another.
