Kids Indoor Kitchen Set for Open-Ended Pretend Play
What's Cooking Today?
Breakfast for the dolls. Soup for the whole room. A busy restaurant with a line of customers waiting for their orders.
The kids indoor kitchen set creates a dedicated pretend-play space for child care and early learning environments, with separate stove, sink, dishwasher, and fridge units that invite children to cook, clean, organize, serve, and create their own stories.
Designed for indoor use, the kitchen can become something different depending on who walks up to it.
There are no recipes to follow and no meals they're supposed to make.
Give them the kitchen. They'll decide what's on the menu.
Why Toy Maker of Lunenburg
What makes our child care collection different
Used Again and Again
Designed for open-ended play, these materials can be used in multiple ways—day after day, year after year. Not a one-time activity, but a lasting part of your program.
Less Plastic. More Nature.
Natural wood offers a sensory experience plastic cannot match—warmth, texture, and character. A simple way to bring more nature into everyday play.
Support Local. Source With Confidence.
Made in Nova Scotia using Canadian-sourced materials. A local supplier providing wooden products for child care and early learning environments.
Made for Child Care
Designed with busy early learning environments in mind, where materials are shared by many children and returned to throughout the day. Simple, practical pieces made for the way child care spaces are actually used.
Built for Open-Ended Play
Simple materials leave room for children to decide what happens next.
Add loose parts, natural materials, water, sand, or whatever the play calls for. The same piece can become something different depending on the children, the materials, and the day.
No Two Pieces of Wood Are the Same
Real wood brings natural variation into the play space. Grain, colour, knots, weight, texture, and density can vary from one piece—and one species of wood—to another.
Those differences aren't imperfections to hide. They're part of what makes wood a naturally varied material for children to see, touch, handle, and explore.
Natural materials aren't perfectly uniform. That's part of their character.

If you need a quote before placing an order, contact us with the products and quantities you're considering along with your delivery location. We can prepare a quote for your centre, including shipping where applicable, so you have the information you need for your purchasing or approval process.

The finish depends on the product and how it will be used. Our larger outdoor Child Care products—including balance beams, ramps, xylophones, mud kitchens, rocking boards, sandboxes, and play huts—are finished with Eco Wood Treatment, a non-toxic, water-based treatment designed for outdoor protection. Water channels are finished with food-grade oil. Timber Boards have no additional finish. They are made from marine-grade plywood, which is selected for its ability to better handle moisture and outdoor conditions.
