Each hollow wooden paddleboard is handcrafted to order in our Nova Scotia workshop, with your choice of size, wood details, colour, and personalized engraving. Stable and beginner-friendly, it’s a one-of-a-kind board made for getting out on the water.

A Paddleboard With a Story Before It Ever Hits the Water.

This wasn't a product we originally planned to make.

The first wooden paddleboard began as a project between Ray and our daughter—something they could build together from the ground up. Strip by strip, what started in the workshop eventually became a beautiful, functional board ready for the water.

And one board eventually became four.

Today, each of us in our family has our own handcrafted wooden paddleboard.

We’ve built them, paddled them, and enjoyed them ourselves—and now we’re opening up the possibility of building one for you.

A custom board, made to order in our Nova Scotia workshop and shaped by the same hands-on process that created our own.

Yes, it's made of wood.

And yes, it's meant to go in the water.

Each board is built using thin strips of wood around an internal framework, creating a hollow wooden paddleboard that's buoyant, functional, and surprisingly light for its size.

The design is stable and beginner-friendly, making it an all-around board for getting out on the water—not something meant to simply hang on a wall.

And because the natural grain and character of the wood become part of the finished design, no two boards will ever look exactly alike.

If we're going to spend weeks building your paddleboard by hand, it shouldn't look like everybody else's.

Choose the board size that suits you, then make it your own with options such as wood details, colour, personalized engraving, and other custom touches.

Add your family name. A cottage name. Something meaningful. Or keep the design simple and let the wood speak for itself.

We'll work through the details with you before the build begins so we know exactly what we're making—and you know exactly what you're getting.

A 50% deposit secures your order and starts your build.
Allow approximately 3 months for your paddleboard to be handcrafted.
The remaining 50% is due when your board is ready for pickup.
Pick up your finished paddleboard from us in Nova Scotia.

Is This a Real Paddleboard I Can Use on the Water?

Yes. These aren't decorative wooden boards—they're built to be paddled. Our family has four handcrafted wooden paddleboards of our own, and we use them on the water ourselves. The hollow wooden construction creates a functional, buoyant board with a stable, beginner-friendly design.

How Do I Know Which Size to Choose?

We make three sizes based on the paddler's weight and how the board will be used: Small – 9'6" Approximately 105–135 lbs. Medium – 10'4" Approximately 105–175 lbs. Large – 11'4" Approximately 170–260 lbs. If you'll sometimes have a child riding with you, let us know. The additional weight affects the buoyancy you'll need, and we'll help you choose the appropriate size.

How Long Does a Custom Paddleboard Take to Make?

Please allow approximately three months for us to build your paddleboard. Each board is made to order rather than pulled from inventory, so your board doesn't enter the build process until we've discussed your size and customization choices and your deposit has been received.

Can You Ship My Paddleboard?

No. Due to its size, your finished paddleboard must be picked up in Nova Scotia. We do not currently offer shipping for paddleboards.

Can I Customize My Paddleboard?

Yes. That's one of the reasons we make them to order. Depending on what you have in mind, customization options include laser engraving, wood details at the tip and tail, solid or striped wood designs, natural wood or a one-colour stain, and anchor point placement. We'll discuss your choices with you before we begin your build.

What Is the Deposit and Payment Process?

Start by contacting us to discuss your paddleboard. Once we've confirmed the size, design, and customization details, a 50% deposit starts your build. The remaining 50% is due when your completed paddleboard is ready for pickup.

Can I Cancel or Return a Custom Paddleboard?

We understand that plans can change. If you cancel before construction of your paddleboard begins, your deposit is fully refundable. Once we begin building your board, the deposit becomes non-refundable because the time, materials, and custom work have already begun. Because each paddleboard is made to order specifically for you, completed custom paddleboards cannot be returned or exchanged. If you notice a problem related to our workmanship, please reach out. We'll repair workmanship issues at no charge. And because these boards are made to be used, we can also help if your paddleboard becomes damaged after you've had it out on the water. Repairs for damage from use are available for a small fee. Please contact us if you have any concerns—we'd much rather talk through the problem and see how we can help.
